Lydia Villa-Komaroff is a molecular and cellular biologist who has been an academic laboratory scientist, a university administrator, and a business woman. She was the third Mexican American woman in the United States to receive a doctorate degree in cell biology at MIT. She is a co-founding member of The Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science. She was part of a team that discovered how bacterial cells could be used to generate insulin.
We chose a molecular style typeface to create this special Wonder Woman logo tee.
100% of the proceeds (minus $1 for administrative costs) will go to SACNAS - Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science - an inclusive organization dedicated to fostering the success of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans, from college students to professionals, in attaining advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in STEM.
